This new committee, which would consist of a chair and two to three members, will provide and support clear and consistent communication on all platforms.
If you have experience or interest in building and maintaining relations between GGS and the public, please consider volunteering and be a part of the Germanic Genealogy Society's future.
Duties include:
- Send blast emails — about 12 to 15 a year.
- Respond to the GGS information email (info@ggsmn.org) in a timely manner, and ideally forward twice a week to appropriate Board members — 3 to 4 hours a month.
- Review, proof, and edit information submitted by others before a Technology Committee volunteer posts them on the GGS website — as needed.
- Communicate with other genealogy societies, i.e., MGS, GAI, IGGP — occasionally.
- Participate in the six GGS Executive Board Meetings held evenings on the third Monday of odd months.
